1 Unit = 1 Switch
Initially created as a frankenswitch, the Gateron Minks were made from harvested parts of various Gateron switches, with the stem from a Gateron Giant switch, bottom housing from Gateron Inks and top housing from Milky-top Gaterons. They were aptly named Giant Minks. Fast forward to today, this same combination of parts is available directly from the Gateron factory as one complete switch, thus greatly reducing the costs required to have the same experience. These Minks have the clean bottom out sound of the Gateron Ink line but with a slightly thinner and higher pitch, coupled with the same muted but poppy top-out sound of milky housings. The Pro stem helps in smoothness, with the switch feeling rather smooth despite not being factory lubed. For the springs, the default Gateron Yellow spring which has a nice and slow force curve is used. We do like the Minks quite a bit, but in our opinion manually lubing would do them proper justice. The base for what makes a great switch is what the Minks are to us, and lubing is the key to tying everything together.
