Tecsee Sapphire V2s are a new tactile switch from Tecsee, replacing the V1 version of the switch. With the V2 iteration comes a different stem, that is made from UHMWPE instead of POM and has a slightly shorter length. The Sapphire V2s differ from other Tecsee switches that have a long-pole stem which reduces total travel, and instead have a total travel distance of about 3.8mm, close to the standard 4mm distance much like the Tecsee Diamond linears. This in turn makes them have a softer bottom out feel and sound that is not as apparent. The tactile bump of these switches is rather rounded, having almost no pre-travel followed by a big and smooth tactile bump with lots of post-travel. The tactility level is on the middle to high side, being rather noticeable. All in all, these switches are perfect for someone looking for a very smooth and pleasant tactile experience without the shortened travel distance of a long-pole switch. They perform well stock and have very tight housings that are not a must to film.
